Production of forms for vacuum forming

The cheapest material, from which it is possible to make forms for forming products by the method of vacuum forming, is certainly MDF. We collect the required thickness of the future form from high-quality MDF boards and cut it on a CNC milling machine according to the previously designed 3D model. Then the surface of the mold is peeled and covered with the composition to avoid transfer of the roughness of the mold to the surface of the product. The next and final stage of production of the matrix for forming is the final grinding of the tool.

The durability of forms made of fiberglass significantly exceeds similar ones made from MDF by milling. For the manufacture of fiberglass equipment, a form is used, turned from MDF or a previously formed product. The time spent on the production of the fiberglass matrix is ​​quite significant, but its wear resistance fully compensates for the time-consuming process.
